Based on a true story about a hard-working man who tries to survive from his financial problems to a better life
I have always said put on mind that the only fixed thing in life is “Change”. This change is fixed to everything and every situation. When I saw the movie (The Pursuit of Happyness) for the brilliant actor Will Smith, I started believing more the change theory.
The movie based on true story about the on-and-off-homeless salesman-turned-stockbroker Chris Gardner.
“In 1981, in San Francisco, the smart salesman and family man Chris Gardner invested the family savings in Osteo National bone-density scanners, an apparatus twice as expensive as an x-ray machine with practically the same resolution. The white elephant financially breaks the family, bringing troubles to his relationship with his wife, who leaves him and moves to New York. Without money or wife, but totally committed to his son Christopher, Chris sees the chance to fight for a stockbroker internship position at Dean Witter, fighting for a more promising career at the end of a six month training period - without any salary. There are twenty other candidates for the one position. Meanwhile, he encounters many challenges and difficulties, including a period of homelessness.” [1]
What I liked the most about this movie is the drama which grasps your full attention to the story. The beauty of the film is its honesty, its outlines, and it force you to have tears in your eyes.
Let's go back to the main idea of this article... Do you think that your life will be as it is in the coming 3 years? Are there any good/bad changes in your career? Will you have continues love life? How about your friends, will they stay your friends? Any more surprises here or there?
The best thing you need, is to understand one saying for Imam Ali “peace be upon him” [2]: (Work for your life as if you will live forever, and work for your next life (hereafter) as if you will die tomorrow).
One meaning of this saying is to keep searching for happiness, countless money, good life, and good health; but don’t forget your next life by also doing all/some religious and ethical duties.
Best of luck to you,
Ahmad
